RiskSTOP Group has released a short video highlighting the purpose behind the annual Chesil Rocks festival, which supports the Dorset branch of Samaritans.
Chesil Rocks 2024 takes place between Thursday, 20th June, and Saturday, 22nd June, and features a comedy night, an evening of classical music and opera, as well as Saturday’s main event, featuring music acts from near and far and covering all styles from funk, rock and reggae to sea shanties and ukeleles!
Once again, RiskSTOP Group is the headline sponsor of Chesil Rocks, which has been running since 2012, with all proceeds going to Samaritans of Dorset.
Natalie Joyce, Associate Director of HR and Social Responsibility at RiskSTOP Group, said: “Last year, Chesil Rocks raised £18,000 for Samaritans, bringing the total over the years to more than £100,000.
“This year, we’ve decided to release a video, not only to get over the hugely positive vibe surrounding Chesil Rocks but also to hear why event organisers Tim and Hilary Warren put in so much effort and hard work each year to make this terrific event happen.
“When you know the backstory to Chesil Rocks and the importance of the service provided by Samaritans, the event means so much more. We hope to see even more people at Chesil Rocks this year, raising money for a great cause.”
Tim Warren, who organises the event with his wife Hilary every year in the garden of their home in the village of Langton Herring near Weymouth in Dorset, added: “We’re hugely grateful to RiskSTOP Group for supporting Chesil Rocks and for producing this video this year. We actually found it quite emotional watching it ourselves as it reminded us why we do this every year.”
